Knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about human papillomavirus and the HPV vaccine

Objective. Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a major health problem. It the cause of cervical cancer and most common sexually transmitted disease. There are several types HPV (high risk - 16, 18). Primary prevention infection, education young people vaccination very important in cancer. Determining level knowledge attitudes towards vaccine, importance adapted to age respondents. Methods. The research was conducted population high school students, aged 15 19. sample consisted 260 Adult respondents voluntarily gave their written consent participate research, minors participated with parents. SPSS used for statistical data processing, descriptive statistics ch2 test were analysis. Results. Out total number respondents, only 3% students completely correct answers questions directed vaccine. Almost half (49%) do not want be vaccinated, 80% know if there vaccine Bosnia Herzegovina. Conclusion: shown by unsatisfactory.
